Who we are
The Luxembourg company G•CORE LABS is looking for a Senior Python Software Engineer to evolve and maintain the platforms that company has.

The company was founded in 2011. Experts in creating high-load systems began designing a new global network infrastructure.

At the moment there are more than 400 people in the company, it has offices in Luxembourg, Germany, Lithuania, the USA, and Georgia. Offices are scheduled to open in Poland and the Asia-Pacific region: Singapore, the Philippines. G-core has over 140 points of presence, including more than 15 unique cloud locations, and over 25 data centers with servers available for order around the world.

Currently, the team is working on a complex service that helps to rent computing resources on demand quickly and safely according to the required volume. Gcore Cloud Team is responsible for the development, availability, and performance of the cloud platform's hardware and software.

Who we are looking for
We are looking for Senior Python Engineers:

You will have the opportunity to develop a complex, engrossing and fast-growing product with thousands of real users. What is more you will make the acquaintance of popular technologies and tools, such as Python, Go, Kubernetes, Kafka, RabbitMQ, Redis, SQL databases, OpenStack, Elastic, Sentry, Prometheus, Grafana, Docker, Packer, GitLab, etc.

The main tasks are:
  • Design and implement new cloud-based products from scratch
  • Maintain and evolve existing cloud OpenStack-based products
  • Develop internal integrations with our Identity Provider, Billing, Monitoring and other services
  • Write testable and documented RESTful APIs
  • Constantly learn new technologies and sharpen your skills
  • Work in cross-functional remote-based teams

Requirements
  • At least 3 years of Python development experience building products for external users
  • Experience with cloud providers and their services (AWS, GCP, Azure, etc)
  • Experience with Kubernetes
  • Experience developing applications with APIs and databases
  • Knowledge of English at the Intermediate level and above (it is necessary to communicate in chat and on calls)
Will be a plus:
  • Experience with QEMU, KVM, Linux kernel and libvirt
  • Knowledge of OpenStack components and architecture
  • Go development experience
  • Contribution to open-source projects
  • Experience in building a product from scratch and launching it to production
