Who we are
The Luxembourg company G•CORE LABS is looking for a Python Software Engineer to working on cutting-edge technology that drives innovation from small companies to major enterprises.

The company was founded in 2011, Experts in creating high-load systems began designing a new global network infrastructure.

At the moment there are more than 400 people in the company, it has offices in Luxembourg, Germany, Lithuania, the USA, and Georgia. Offices are scheduled to open in Poland and the Asia-Pacific region: Singapore, the Philippines. G-core has over 140 points of presence, including more than 15 unique cloud locations, and over 25 data centers with servers available for order around the world.

At the moment, there are 4 fully remote development teams, each focusing on a number of products the company build as part of its Cloud. Cloud teams are mostly located in EU time zones or close to them. Teams have horizontal structure with flexibility in self organization. Product requirements and strategy come from product management.

Who we are looking for
We are looking for a Python Software Engineer.

If you have a passion for systems software engineering (Python) and you're familiar with Cloud Management Platform, then this is a unique opportunity to build the core things of the G-Core Labs Cloud Platform. You'll be working on cutting-edge technology that drives innovation from small companies to major enterprises.

The main tasks are:
  • Develop infrastructure and platform services such as Virtual Machine Instances, Bare Metal Instances, Function as a Service (serverless), Managed Kubernetes as a Service, Machine Learning Platform and many other products and services with possibility to switch between the products
  • Work on the Cloud API, integration with internal services that include Identity Provider (auth service), Billing, Monitoring, and other services
  • Work on the OpenStack services: adding new features, work on optimization, facilitate upgrades to new versions, network troubleshooting, etc


Requirements
  • At least 2 years of web development experience in Python
  • Experience writing asynchronous code
  • Ability to write clean code
  • Experience with REST APIs
  • Basic knowledge of Linux/Unix
Would be a plus:
  • extensive experience in working with Cloud providers including AWS, Google Cloud Platform, etc.
