The Luxembourg company G•CORE LABS is looking for the experienced IT Director who along with internal IT departments will identify the needs of a variety of business units — Top-management, administrative departments, product teams, external stakeholders and local authorities — across the globe, explore and implement the best possible technology solutions that support the business goals, minimize security risks and increase users' satisfaction.

The company was founded in 2011, Experts in creating high-load systems began designing a new global network infrastructure. At the moment there are more than 400 people in the company, it has offices in Luxembourg, Germany, Lithuania, the USA, and Georgia. Offices are scheduled to open in Poland and the Asia-Pacific region: Singapore, the Philippines.

G-core has over 140 points of presence, including more than 15 unique cloud locations, and over 25 data centers with servers available for order around the world.

As an IT Director you will have a chance to lead a team of 25 people in total; handle annual budget and ensure cost-effectiveness; design, develop, implement, and coordinate systems, policies, and procedures and much more.

Who we are looking for
We are looking for the IT Director with experience in a similar position in an IT company. All processes have already been established, but first of all it will be necessary to finalize the process of onboarding remote employees in terms of providing them with equipment and organizing software and access.

Major responsibilities:
  • Manage internal IT department: Service Desk (Microsoft, Apple, *nix), System Support (Microsoft, Atlassian, Cisco etc.), Information Security (ISO 27001, PCI/DSS 3.2, GDPR etc.), Business Intelligence (SQL, OLAP, PowerBI etc.), IT Project Office, ERP Teams (SAP, ODOO), IT Development office (Python, GoLang)
  • Plan, organize, control, and evaluate IT and electronic data operations
  • Manage IT staff by recruiting, training, and coaching employees, communicating job expectations, and appraising their performance
  • Ensure security of data, network access and backup systems
  • Act in alignment with user needs and system functionality to contribute to organizational policy
  • Identify problematic areas and implement strategic solutions in time
  • Audit systems and assess their outcomes
  • Preserve assets, information security and control structures
  • All types of reporting to the management board
Requirements
  • Proven working experience as an IT Manager/CIO/IT Director or relevant experience
  • Excellent knowledge of technical management, and information analysis of computer hardware/software systems
  • Expertise in data centre management and data governance
  • Hands-on experience with computer networks, network administration and network installation
  • Ability and desire to manage personnel including out staffing
  • Extremely deep knowledge & on-hand experience of Microsoft stack including Licensing Policies (EA, SPLA etc.)
  • Good knowledge of Security Standards
  • Ability to travel
  • Spoken and written English
  • Extremely strong communication and negotiation skills
  • Strong problem-solving and project management skills
